Pilates Intensives with Melissa Kakavas: These 8-week curriculum-building courses are a fabulous introduction to the method (beginners course) or way to deepen, hone and "clean-up" (intermediate/advanced course) your personal practice. Both intensive courses will begin with Fundamentals and Matwork, move to the Reformer, the Trapeze Table and Wunda Chair, and then end with a dynamic teaching of the Standing work.
Please call the studio to register and gain additional information. No Make ups, refunds or studio credit. $240 per session

Beginner Intensive: Mondays 6-7pm
Winter 8-week session starts 1/4/10
The beginner course can serve as a cost-conserving route to semi-private sessions (by-passing the initial financial outlay of private sessions.) Many intermediate and advanced students will also take this course in order to go back to the roots of the work and have a chance to gain primary information and solidify their base of knowledge.
Intermediate/Advanced Intensive:
Winter 8-week session (2 courses):
Wednesdays starting 1/13/10
Thursdays starting 1/14/10
The intermediate/advanced course is meant for the semi-private or group pilates client with extensive experience on the apparatus. Studio approval will be required to register for the course. Many students who have been attending group classes are in great need of moving either deeper into the matwork, into more advanced apparatus exercises, or understanding the work in an different orientation (vertical or circular, for example.) This course will hone the personal practice, clean up existing biomechanical errors, develop a breadth of working knowledge and encourage self-practice through true ownership of the method.
